What is Reiki

Poetically speaking, reiki is the healing love of the Universe flowing through human hands.

Reiki is a Japanese word that means Universal Life Energy (Rei = Universal Life, Ki = Energy). Reiki as an energy healing modality came to us in the early 1900s through Mikao Usui Sensei, who received the gift of reiki as a result of a spiritual experience.

Usui Sensei left us the following ideals for practicing reiki as a way of life and as “the secret art of inviting happiness” :

About Smiling Heart

Welcome to Smiling Heart Reiki & Wellness! My name is Marianna Grace and Smiling Heart is the healing space that I hold for my clients. I am an energy healing and reiki practitioner, and I am happy to support you on your healing journey.

I was drawn to energy healing many years ago and started practicing it professionally in 2007. I first studied at the EarthWalk School of Energy Healing with Gloria Two-Feathers. Then I also trained with Reiki Master Marianne Streich at Reiki for Living.

My journey in the healing arts has also been influenced by the works of Caroline Myss, Anodea Judith, Barbara Brennan, Robert Moss, Don Miguel Ruiz, Bruce Lipton, and Donna Eden. I have enjoyed learning from them over the years through a wide variety of workshops, talks, classes, and books and putting their principles into practice.

And I always continue learning from my clients. Each person that I work with becomes a wonderful teacher of new dimensions, perspectives, and whole worlds that are unique to them.

I believe that energy healing is based on aligning with the healing vibration of the Universe, the vibration which permeates our entire world. It restores, nurtures, inspires. This healing vibration is LOVE.

Every day I feel deepest gratitude for my own experiences and for the opportunity to share healing with others.
